Centralian Carpet Python by onewing

Centralian Carpet Python

I haven't had chance to take any photos for a couple of days and have not been able to upload to my 365 either, so today's pic is of a centralian carpet python which I took at Oakvale Farm a couple of days ago.

Anita has gone up north to visit a friend for a couple of days, so I may be able to catch up on my 365 friends.

We have been so busy having a great time. Still got nearly 2 weeks together when she gets back to Port Stephens before she leaves for Western Australia.
Wow! Look at that eye. I know that they aren't necessarily malevolent but with an eye like that, you begin to wonder. A nice shot, Babs

Oh my I love this ... I quite like snakes (I used to have a pet one lol) and this would not be out of place is a 'snake owner's book' or breed book. Great shot

I too like and have owned snakes! I even had one in the classroom for years. Her name was Ms. Rosie, a baby boa constrictor when I bought her and 51/2 feet long, fat and happy as you please when I bequeathed her to the science teacher, as I moved away. This guy looks like he/she maybe getting ready to shed. Great shot, Babs!

@steampowered Thanks Paul. This one was very placid. I love snakes and have handled quite a few, mainly pythons though. I tend to stay away from the really deadly ones!!! and we have quite a few out here.

@christinehosey @sunraye Thanks. I love snakes too. This one was quite friendly. I have handled quite a few snakes, mainly pythons though, not some of our more deadly snakes in Australia.

@joluise @goosemanning @heidihp Thanks so much. I am in a bit of a rush at the moment again. We have to go to Tanilba House this morning as members of our photo club have got a photo exhibition there from the beginning of December till the end of January. We have to check out the set up. Then we are off to Newcastle before picking Anita up from her trip to Yamba. Busy day.
