Today has been a truly miserable day weatherwise. Unfortunately, I had to go out this morning and it bucketed down. Fortunately the heavy rain was short-lived, but it has been pretty cold and rainy for most of the day. I am hibernating now until the weather improves.
In case you are wondering what this is a picture of, it is the windscreen of my car and the headlights of the cars coming towards me. Needless to say I didn’t get out of the car until the rain eased.
ohhhhh looks yuk - we haven't had rain - couple of sprinkles but it is bloody freezing - I woke with a raging sore throat in the middle of the night so have been hibernating myself today
@darthkitty Luckily the downpour didn't last too long. Just bucketed down like this for about 10 minutes and then the rained eased off to light rain for the rest of the day. Quite windy and cold too.
It's strange here on 365 with us all in the throes of different weather. We had rain this morning but it's so hot and humid, unusual for England and hope it dos not last.
Mmm we've had a few thunder storms with this sort of rain over the past couple of days but it has definitely been a bit warmer. Although only a week ago it was almost 20 degrees cooler here at about 13 degrees! Hope you are able to come out of hibernation soon!
@bristol_colin Thanks Colin. I suppose here in Australia we are lucky that even in winter it isn't bad weather every day and I am sure it will be warmer again in a few days. When there is snow at Barrington Tops the cold air always filters down to the coast.
@quietpurplehaze Yes Hazel, I remember that when it got hot in the UK you always got the humidity. That is the killer. Our humid and hot month is February. The rest of the summer it is just hot and that is lovely.
@lpot1985 According to our rain gauge it was only 9 mm rain, but the real downpour didn't last too long, just reduced to drizzle for the rest of the day. roll on Spring.
@paulaw You summer can be almost as bad as our winter sometimes. At least in our winter it isn't freezing every day and I am sure the sun will shine again soon. Australia makes you soft, ha ha. Going to friends for lunch today so will be out of hibernation for a while.
Yuk!! After suffering through the full frontal attack of winter over the past few weeks I have worked out why bears hibernate. Love the shot Babs, fills the bill well.
