Damper and Billy Tea by onewing

Damper and Billy Tea

After the pouring rain and really winter day of yesterday, today the sun has shone and it has been a beautiful day, more like a spring day today rather than the middle of winter.

Today we have been to Tocal Homestead to a Peek into the Past open day. Lots to see and to photograph. No doubt you will be seeing a few of my photos over the next few days.

As you can see this chap is peeking into the past and making damper and billy tea on an open fire.

@quietpurplehaze Damper is bread made with flour and water on an open fire. It was an invention of the early stockmen out in the bush. You can see the damper in the pot and also the billy can boiling above it all ready to make tea.
Hot damper and golden syrup with billy tea is wonderful.
