Mirror Mirror on the Wall by onewing

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all. I don't think there is a lot in it. Not the prettiest of birds either of them.

These two were strutting their stuff at Oakvale Farm trying to outdo each other.

Fabulous images, the turkey really is a most bizarre looking bird :)
October 2nd, 2014
Super detail Babs, I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder and they probably look like George Clooney to their own!!
October 2nd, 2014
Great title and diptych
October 2nd, 2014
Yes I agree. Not the best looking. But very very tasty.

Sam
I think the one on the right!
October 2nd, 2014
Nicely focused shots! I like the colour.
October 2nd, 2014
Great images of both full of colour and lovely detail, I prefer the one on the left they taste so much better than the one on the right, lol;)

Aren't they handsome!!
Just saw you are in NSW. I'm not sure where that is in relation to Adelaide (my geography of Australia needs a touch up!).
October 2nd, 2014
Great shots! That turkey is hideous and we don't even eat one at Christmas!!!
October 2nd, 2014
beautiful clear shots
October 2nd, 2014
@taffy I agree they are very handsome. Beautiful no, handsome yes. Adelaide is on the south coast of Australia and we are on the east coast. Where I live is about 1600 km (1000 miles) from Adelaide. Have a good trip.

This made me smile, great shots.

October 3rd, 2014
Sometimes you look in the mirror and aren't pleased with what you see. LOL
October 3rd, 2014
A couple of great close-ups
October 3rd, 2014
Love the close-ups. Not that pretty but pretty tasty.
October 3rd, 2014
Great collage...both neat shots, details, textures.
October 3rd, 2014
Beauty is more than skin deep - like the thighs, wings, drumsticks. Yumm
October 3rd, 2014
Neither! Good shots though.
October 3rd, 2014
@thistle Thanks Joyce, they wander around the farm quite freely and I had a terrible job trying to get them to stand still long enough for me to get a photo of them.
October 3rd, 2014
@creampuff Don't let them hear you saying that. ha ha.
October 3rd, 2014
@ceilidh Thanks Margaret. I think their Mother's love them.
October 3rd, 2014
@beryl So glad it brought a smile to your face Beryl. We all need to smile. I think they were both smiling too, watching me trying to get a decent photo of them.
October 3rd, 2014
@hermann I agree Sally. For some reason the turkey always reminds me of a Judge at court.
October 3rd, 2014
@paulaw You are probably right Paula. These two were really strutting their stuff and looking very superior.
October 3rd, 2014
@flyrobin Thanks Robyn.
October 3rd, 2014
@karlow75 Ha ha. Very tasty indeed.
October 3rd, 2014
@darthkitty Thanks Kat. The turkey was busy chasing a peacock and I think it was a territorial thing.
October 3rd, 2014
@lilminimonka Thanks Brianna. I think of the two the chook is the most handsome.
October 3rd, 2014
@gigiflower I agree Sam.
October 3rd, 2014
@kwind Thanks, they are certainly colourful.
October 3rd, 2014
@pcoulson Aw, don't let them hear you saying that.
October 3rd, 2014
@quietpurplehaze I agree Hazel. We don't eat turkey at Christmas either. Usually have a bbq out here. Cooking a Christmas dinner at 42 degrees C is not fun.
October 3rd, 2014
@lynnz Thanks Lyn.
October 3rd, 2014
@dianeburns Glad it made you smile Diane. Don't think there is a lot in it as far as beauty goes.
October 3rd, 2014
@debilz Thanks Debbie.
October 3rd, 2014
@kathiecb Not sure about the mirror thing sometimes. I get a shock occasionally because I never used to look like my Mum when I was younger, but now I look in the mirror sometimes and Mum looks back at me. ha ha. Gives me quite a shock I can tell you.
October 3rd, 2014
@bkbinthecity Thanks Brian. They are a handsome pair aren't they.
October 3rd, 2014
@nanm Thanks Nancy. I definitely prefer chicken to turkey.
October 3rd, 2014
@seattlite Thanks Gloria.
October 3rd, 2014
@terryliv Oh dear, drumsticks are definitely the best bits.
October 3rd, 2014
@chimfa I think these two definitely thought they were beautiful.
October 3rd, 2014
@onewing

I can imagine a BBQ would be bet for you. We quite often have roats lamb for Christmas Day and our son cooks one of his specialities for Boxing Day.
October 3rd, 2014
Impressive, yes. Fairest, no. Great diptych.
