I made myself a banana smoothie this morning and it gave me the idea of using drinking straws again for a photo. Haven't done a photo for a while using straws.
I just loved the colours.
Posting a bit early tonight and won't be able to catch up until tomorrow because we are out at the photo club tonight.
@trishaford Thanks Trisha. Nothing special to this shot. I put a bunch of straws in a glass tumbler on a piece of black card. and took the photo from above looking down on the straws. The lighting was just the average kitchen light and I increased the contrast slightly slightly in Photoshop.
Sorry for the group reply, I haven't been around much the last couple of days. Yesterday we were out most of the day and we went to the cinema too to see The Imitation Game, brilliant movie and tonight we have got a friend coming over for dinner, so am a bit pushed for time at the moment too. I think tomorrow will be a quiet day though. Hopefully will be able to catch up then. I will try and check out some of your photos over the next half an hour too.
