I took this photo at the zoo when we were in Canberra and I couldn't remember what it was called, so I asked Annie @annied if she knew, as she is the expert on this type of animal.
She told me that he is a green iguana and of course, I then forgot to post him on 365 until now, so here it is.
Thanks Annie for identifying him. Isn't he beautiful. He just sat there very patiently while I took lots of photos of him.
great pic - Fav My daughter had one of these but I wasn't really keen on him as he used to suddenly appear on the back of the settee or chair that you were sitting on. I have to say that I don't really miss him
I remember taking something similar at London zoo several years ago, When I entered it in the camera club I was going to back then it got a third. I was quite chaffed as I hadnt been going that long. They do make great pictures
Great capture, Babs! I had to look at this twice as I have a very similar shot. So similar, I thought it was mine, lol, but I knew I had not added it to my project!! Thought I was losing my mind! BTW, love your shot way better than mine! FAV.
@pixiemac@snoopybooboo@soboy5@taffy@annied Thanks so much for letting me know that this handsome chap is on the TT. I don't usually check out the TT because I never expect to appear on it.
I wonder if he appreciates that he is world famous Annie.
such handsome creatures
fab shot Babs
@rosiekind Not sure I would fancy having this chap on the back of my settee, he is about a metre long.
@mbmomentsintime Thanks so much and well done for getting third place with a shot of a chap like this. They are beautiful aren't they.
I wonder if he appreciates that he is world famous Annie.
