Waiting for the train by onewing

Waiting for the train

Another busy day here, so this is a photo taken at Richmond Vale last weekend.

This pied butcher bird seemed to be waiting for the train to arrive.

Thanks to everyone who's commented on my pictures for the last couple of days. I will catch up as soon as I can.

I am putting together a photo book of my 365 photos at the moment so that will take up some of my free time.

David is also helping a friend of his put together a photo book too so we are pretty busy at present.

Great find and shotBabs...

@happypat They call them butcher birds because they chop up their meat with the hook on their beaks and then take it away and hang it on a tree for later.

@onewing How clever......had to have another look at them......they must have to keep an eye out no other bird nicks their larder!!
