Been out for a 'girlie' lunch today with some friends so not had time again for photos. For the next two days I will post some of the exhibits that were on display at Tocal on Sunday.
I don't think I have ever seen knitted food before. Everything in this shot, apart from the labels saying what the food actually is, is knitted.
The exhibits are made by the Maitland Group of the Knitters Guild. Not sure I would have the patience, or the inclination for that matter, to sit and knit food, but I think it makes an interesting and unusual photo.
Ha ... the things people do.. My sister would love to see this she is a knitter and a spinner/weaver,.. but everything she makes is wearable.. great collage
Great combinations of fruit and veg, very lifelike. This reminds me of the knitting yarn bomb that decends onto Saltburn pier every year and is a different theme each time, this year it was Alice in wonderlands anniversary.
@cruiser@paulaw Thanks. I used to do a lot of knitting when we lived in the UK and the kids were small. I used to knit jumpers etc for the girls. and I knitted dolls clothes too. I even knitted a bikini for a Sindy doll once too! Like you though Paula, the fingers can't cope with knitting these days.
