Our next port of call in New Zealand was to Auckland and, of course, we had to visit the famous landmark the Skytower.
If you look closely at the bottom two photos in this collage you can see two rather brave souls (or foolhardy, not sure which) doing the skyjump from the tower.
O.M.G....how brave are they!...not for this little black duck...(cold shudders)...great photos...really like the first one where you see it in perspective... :o)
What a beautiful collage of the tower it would make a lovely picture post card, went of the Skyjump.co.nz web site to see what the Sky jump would be like, you drop 192m in 10 seconds travel at 75km per hour and its only $75 a go, what a fantastic experience I would love it yet another tick off the bucket list before I pop my clogs:)
Good collage Babs. When we were there a girl fainted on the way down . She was just hanging there at the half way point right in front of us. They lowered her to the bottom and she came round!
I think it would be quite a thrill but I'm not sure that I would be able to just jump off a building. I did jump out of a plane a couple of times but I am just not sure about the thought of being attached to a rubber band (albeit a very strong one!)
When I visited NZ a few years ago I was travelling with a girl who was in the UK army. If there was something to jump off she did it! It was like being with Superwoman! Lol! I of course did nit jump off anything - I just took the photos! I stood below her at the Sky Tower and took a video of her jump recording the scream all the way down! Yes she was mad! Lol! Wonderful collage - it brought back some fab memories of a great holiday! Fav!
@pamknowler I'm with you Pam why jump of a building when you can use a perfectly serviceable lift. I did stand on the glass floor though. That was my limit. I can identify with your friend. David was in the RAF and RAAF and we knew quite a few Army people on various stations. Far madder than the Air Force people.
The white water rafting I would love but this....oh no thank you!
I wonder about the very first bungee jumper, I can imagine his friends "Go on mate, you'll be fine, just jump!"
