Shoal Bay by onewing

Shoal Bay

We have been out with the walking group today, followed by lunch at Shoal Bay.

It has been a gorgeous winters day and the temperature was around 22 degrees C. A very pleasant day for walking.
gorgeus!!!!!!

Simply stunning area beautifully capture, love the beach lead in through the image, have a similar shot from almost the same spot Nelson Head end just off the beach road car park, anywhere near there Babs

Beautiful shot & so inviting...

We stayed at the caravan park nearby few years ago. We even kayak there as well. Looks like a nice day for a walk.

that sand looks beautiful and what gorgeous weather for winter.
June 16th, 2016
A very inviting scene, and must have been great to be out walking. Sad that cars can drive on the beach.
June 16th, 2016
Wonderful! We do not have the same expectations of winter, as you know!
June 16th, 2016
@pcoulson Yes this shot is just at the edge of the beach road. We had already walked from Nelson Head. We parked our cars at Fly Point and walked round Little Beach and through the caravan park and followed the paths to Shoal Bay and Tomaree Headland.

@ethelperry Thanks Ethel. Cars can't generally drive on this beach, it is just that the fishermen had brought their catch in here and the tracks you can see are from the boat trailer. If you look very closely you will spot a white speck in the water further down and that is about 15 pelicans who had been 'helping' the fishermen.

Lovely composition

22c in winter! It's colder than that here at the moment in summer! Lovely shot with all that sunshine!
June 16th, 2016
Great shot, composition
June 16th, 2016
Well I call that a hot summers day Babs! As @thistle says cooler than that in mid June here but you will remember our rather pathetic summers from way back! You could take your shoes off & paddle even!
June 16th, 2016
Beautiful capture and beach view. FAV
June 16th, 2016

Love the colour of the ocean. Nice image.
June 17th, 2016
It's always beautiful at Shoal Bay. Did you see any whales?
June 17th, 2016
Blimey Teddy Babs, it's cold and rainy here. This looks so appealing.

@olenadole @dianeburns @happysnaps @merrelyn @deborah63 @dawnee @cruiser @quietpurplehaze @cmp @seattlite @ladymagpie @craftymeg @kelly2 @salza @karens54 @cherrymartina @radiogirl @mittens @loweygrace @kwind Thanks we have had a few really beautiful days. I think it will be cooling down slightly though this weekend as we have another east coast low heading our way. May be time to batten down the hatches.
June 17th, 2016
@hermann You'll have to come down for a visit Sal.
June 17th, 2016
@thistle Luckily our winters don't get really chilly, but when it gets down to 15 degrees that is pretty chilly enough for us.
June 17th, 2016
@happypat Yes I remember English summers well. 22 degrees isn't anywhere close enough for a paddle.
June 17th, 2016
@susiangelgirl Thanks Susi. No we didn't see any whales they don't come inside the Heads. We saw some a couple of days ago at Fingal Bay and some at Boat Harbour too.
June 17th, 2016
@golftragic Cold and rainy heading our way this weekend too apparently as another East Coast Low is heading our way.
June 17th, 2016
@onewing Batten down the hatches mate. Rained/drizzled all day and our barometer has dropped like a stone.
June 17th, 2016
Looks beautiful and so much warmer than a summer's day here!
June 17th, 2016
@onewing When things settle down I just may head down your way Xx
June 17th, 2016
@hermann Please do you are always welcome.
June 17th, 2016
@inthecloud5 We do have cold days here but it has been beautiful the last few days.
June 17th, 2016
