Shoal Bay by onewing

Shoal Bay

After a very dismal grey start to the day, with the clouds down to the tops of the trees, who would have thought that the day would have turned out as beautiful as this.

Absolutely beautiful this afternoon and more like a spring day rather than the middle of winter.

That is really lovely, such a deep blue calm sea. At last we have sun here. Heatwave predicted for tomorrow - we're all moaning!

@beryl @dide @ethelperry @busylady @happysnaps @ivan @bella_ss @777margo @olenadole @seattlite @salza @tonygig @mittens @karens54 @cmp @merrelyn @craftymeg @365projectorgjenfurj @jackie8 @bkbinthecity @dawnee @gamelee @happypat @pyrrhula @kwiksilver @rjb71 @inthecloud5 Thanks everyone. Predicted to be another lovely day today too and then going a bit chilly again. We do have some lovely bays in this part of the world. Saw a few dolphins yesterday too, but didn't get a photo of them.
July 19th, 2016
@ladymagpie You would fit in really well in your bikini Heather. I doubt you would scare off the natives, we are a tough bunch here.
July 19th, 2016
@stephanies I heard that you were having a bit of a heatwave. I think it reached 20 degrees C (68 f) here yesterday and today it is going to be about 23 degrees (73 f) I believe and then down to about 17 for a few days. So not too hot, but quite pleasant for winter. It goes down to about 12 or 13 degrees at night though, so quite chilly.
July 19th, 2016
@gilbertwood I believe it has been really chilly in Victoria. My daughter lives there and has been complaining of the cold.
July 19th, 2016
This looks so inviting. Throw in some Brisbane warm weather, and it would be perfect!
July 19th, 2016
Ahhh, the beach, looks wonderful.
July 19th, 2016
Gorgeous shoreline!
July 19th, 2016
Lovely scene!
July 19th, 2016
@888rachel Don't need it much warmer than yesterday and today Rachel, we are busy chopping logs.
July 19th, 2016
@golftragic Nothing like a walk along the beach Marnie regardless of the weather. We are off out for another walk later this afternoon. We have spent the morning chopping logs so need some relaxation.
July 19th, 2016
A stunning bay -- brilliant blues.
July 19th, 2016
Nice composition and beautiful bay!
July 19th, 2016
@susiangelgirl Oh no that is awful. Hope they don't paint over all the other artworks in Newcastle too. I saw this street art a couple of weeks ago as we were leaving Newcastle, but didn't get chance to take a photo of it. Guess I won't now either.
July 19th, 2016
@onewing I'm sooooo upset, it was one of my favourites. I think I'll ring the Council to find out why. Love your photo of the Bay.
July 19th, 2016
@onewing Building up those biceps Babs? Silly, but we very rarely go to the beach despite only being a 10-minute drive to get there. The fact Maggie would have to on a lead is a big reason.
July 19th, 2016
there is such a calmness to this scene Babs. I could sit and look at that view for hours.
July 19th, 2016
@golftragic Biceps don't get too overworked, we have a chain saw and a log splitter although David does split some of the smaller logs with an axe and I chop the kindling wood with an axe too.
We have a few beaches here that are doggy beaches and the dogs can roam free. All the owners have to do is take a plastic bag with them and collect their dogs doos and pop it in the bins at the end of the beach.
July 20th, 2016
@onewing Sounds very good and very sensible - unlike our anal nanny-state council.
July 20th, 2016
What a stunning view - beautiful 😌
