Out for a Stroll by onewing

Out for a Stroll

As I got home from a walk on the beach I bumped into a friend and neighbour of ours taking his pet sulphur crested cockatoo for a walk.
Lovely capture. Cockatoo is obviously enjoying his outing.

How funny, has he left in to his children in his will?

The cockatoo surely steals the show.

@thistle @pusspup @yaorenliu @ethelperry @hrs @777margo @susiemc @quietpurplehaze @leananiemand @creampuff @beryl Thanks. Perhaps I should add here that Harry the cockatoo is female, yes, a female called Harry and she can talk. In fact while Rod and I were talking Harry kept saying "Come on lets get going".

Rod and his wife haven't got any children Wylie, so I have no idea what will happen to her if she outlives them.

@jodies @olenadole @paul10 @cruiser @seattlite @gosia @lesip @jackie8 @jesperani @craftymeg @stephanies @deborah63 @bkbinthecity @ivan @pcoulson @cmp @happypat @shirleybankfarm Rod used to have a dog as well as the cockatoo and he used to take them both out for a walk. Unfortunately, the dog died a few months ago, so now he just has to take the bird out. If he doesn't she creates havoc until he gives in and takes her out. She can fly short distances, but her wings have been clipped. She loves her outings.

@gilbertwood @beachdog @365projectorgjenfurj @loweygrace @taffy @dawnee Thanks. It is a beautiful bird and has such a nice temperament too. She is very chatty and has a lot to say for herself

Apparently there used to be cockatoo who lived in a pub at Albury who used to say "Stand back I'm an eagle"

I've heard about 'man and his dog', but not 'man and his cockie'. Good luck to him, I'm definitely not a fan of sulphur-crested cockies.
August 20th, 2016
@golftragic This one is quite nice and very well behaved.
