Dolphin Watch by onewing

Dolphin Watch

A much cooler day today but still no rain.

It is probably a much more pleasant day for the tourists on this dolphin watch cruise around the bay too.

It was another hot one here today and only going to get worse.

A nice shot

Yes, overcast & humid, but no rain at East Kurrajong ☔️

36 here, but a dry heat....I don't think I'd survive in a place with humidity 😨
Lovely shot of the bay
January 15th, 2017
Lovely capture....still 32 C here at 7.30 pm & we have missed the rain here today, again!
January 15th, 2017
Looks very calm. Even I might manage that boat! Nice pov.

You lucky things down under !! yet I do not think I could endure the heat , This is a lovely bright and clear capture of an idyllic way to watch the life at sea !
January 15th, 2017
So glad that oppressive heat has eased although I hear its on its way back.

Lovely composition and capture Babs, hope the tourist had a wonderful day, been on a similar boat in the Whitsundays, whilst swimming off the boat was lucky to have some Dolphins come to investigate, they can turn very fast we were told to held our arms straight out and they repeatedly swan under just touching our hands:)

Lovely and cool here tonight after yesterdays hot and oppressive day, at least we had some nice rain. Lovely capture Babs :)
January 15th, 2017
Glad to hear it was a little nicer for you today. We've had a tiny bit of rain but nothing that registers in the rain gauge. Nice capture Babs.
January 15th, 2017
Great capture :)
January 15th, 2017
I hope that there was plenty to see.
January 15th, 2017
The water looks calm and rather pleasant to be out and about on
January 15th, 2017
Nice shot, hope they saw lots of dolphins :)
January 15th, 2017
That looks an exciting trip Babs! Something I would like to go on! I suppose you have been on all the trips like this over the years & you are used to seeing all the visitors enjoying themselves.
January 15th, 2017
Looks calm and peaceful, would love to do a dolphin watch in conditions like these.
January 15th, 2017
A lovely calm capture
January 15th, 2017
Great capture
January 15th, 2017
Looks like a peaceful day Babs
January 15th, 2017
I hope they get to see some!! Nice image.
January 15th, 2017
Great shot of the water and boats. We did have a whole day of rain to day. A day to stay at home as the temp. is near zero/32 F/
January 15th, 2017
We have had too much rain, wish I could send some your way.. I love the blue colours of the sky and the sea in this shot. Nice capture Babs.
January 15th, 2017
I would love to be on that boat, a lovely photo Babs
January 15th, 2017
Oh I'd love to be on that boat too. Lovely capture, I hope they saw plenty.
January 15th, 2017
That would be fun....................to watch dolphins!
Great shot!
January 15th, 2017
Love this shot, watching dolphins is wonderful. Did you see the photos of the Japanese whaler this morning? They should be ashamed of themselves.
January 15th, 2017
Looks like a fun time!
January 16th, 2017
@nicolecampbell Hope it cools down by the end of January we will be in Canberra then for a few days.
January 16th, 2017
@365projectorgjenfurj Still no rain here either.
January 16th, 2017
@leggzy February is usually our humid month, but the last couple of years that has usually included part of January too. the rest of the time it is fine.
January 16th, 2017
@happysnaps 32 degrees at night is a bit drastic isn't it.
January 16th, 2017
@quietpurplehaze It is very calm in the bay. Only when the boats go out of the Heads does it get a bit choppy, but that is for the whale watch cruises and there are no whales at the moment.
January 16th, 2017
@beryl Thanks Beryl. We are acclimatised to the heat, it is the cold that I can't take these days. I think my blood must have gone thin.
January 16th, 2017
@kjarn Yes, I heard that too. Hot by the end of the week again I gather.
January 16th, 2017
@pcoulson We are so lucky that there are lots of dolphins in the bay and we see them regularly even from land. Sometimes when I walk down to the beach in an evening I can see them swimming past doing a spot of fishing.
January 16th, 2017
@hermann Glad you have had some rain. Still dry here, but the evenings have been cooler.
January 16th, 2017
@bella_ss Cooler here at the moment but going to get warm again by the latter part of the week.
January 16th, 2017
@365projectorgsebgritt There are always plenty of dolphins to see in the bay. We don't even have to go out on the water to see them, they come right up to the breakwater.
January 16th, 2017
@happypat Yes, we have been on a few dolphin and whale watch cruises, but we don't have to go out on a boat to see them. We can see the whales from land at Birubi Beach and dolphins from land as we walk along the beach in an evening, but it is nice to see them following the boats when on the cruises.
January 16th, 2017
@inthecloud5 Thanks Christine, the dolphin watch cruises are always calm. Sometimes though the whale watch cruises can get a bit choppy once the boats are outside The Heads and in the ocean proper.
January 16th, 2017
@pyrrhula Brrr, sounds too cold for me.
January 16th, 2017
@stephanies Thanks Stephanie, we could do with a little bit of rain. Hasn't rained for ages here.
January 16th, 2017
@snowy @jesperani @radiogirl @twinsplusone They always see plenty of dolphins on the cruises. The dolphins follow the boats.
January 16th, 2017
@golftragic The Japanese are a pain. Glenn Lokitch a friend of ours has been out on the Sea Shepherd chasing the Japanese whalers. The photos he takes are quite scary.
January 16th, 2017
Sam
So pleased you got some cooler weather - we are expecting 38 tomorrow! ouch!
January 16th, 2017
Looks like a calm day for whale watch.
January 16th, 2017
@gigiflower It is going to be about 38 here later in the week too I believe. Not looking forward to that.
January 16th, 2017
@yaorenliu Just dolphins at the moment. The whales don't come up from Antarctica until June or July and then travel back with their babies in September and October.
January 16th, 2017
Makes me want another holiday.
January 16th, 2017
@onewing I'll bet they are, he's got real guts to go out there. Our feeble govt should send a boat or two down there to keep 'em out of our waters at least.
January 16th, 2017
That looks like a fun thing to do, especially in super hot weather. I wish we could give you some of our cool weather in return for some warm sunshine.
