I am going to have a quiet night tonight, we have been out for lunch with a friend of ours.
Lloyd, our friend loves parties and invited us to one of his regular parties yesterday as this party was to celebrate his birthday. Unfortunately, David and I couldn't go because there would be a lot of standing involved and David didn't think it would be a good idea to stand for too long because of his DVT in his leg.
Lloyd, the friend who was having the party, dropped in here yesterday morning to see how David was and invited us and some other of our friends out for lunch today instead of going to the party.
We have had a lovely afternoon. Always good to catch up with friends over lunch at a restaurant overlooking the ocean.
Here is another photo for the half and half challenge. I think this shed and door have seen better days.
I've flipped back thru your photos, and why am I not surprised that you could take a new idea like this half and half theme and run with it and do such an outstanding job with it???? Your talent goes so far beyond the technical issues of focus and lighting. You just have the eye and heart of a true artist!
Glad you had such a nice birthday visit with your friend- how thoughtful of him to be concerned for David's leg! Love this shot- especially that blue door.
@shesnapped Oh Ashley, what a lovely comment. I am not so sure I can live up to the praise you give me, but it is really encouraging. Thank you so much.
@golftragic Thanks Marnie. David will be out of action for a while I believe. He is on serious blood thinners at the moment and can't even shave in case he cuts himself. The blood thinners don't actually dissolve the clots, they just stop any more adding to them. The body has to dissolve the clots itself.
He doesn't make a very good patient so patience on my part is going to be tested for the next three months. Breathe!
