As I posted a rather sci fi photo yesterday with the photo of a Tardis I thought I would stay with a bit of a science fiction theme today too.
I haven't posted any of my regular Friday people photos for a while and I spotted this one when I was looking through old photos a couple of days ago.
This was taken in April at the Maitland Steamfest. It was a hot day and I saw this scary looking chap walking towards. He reminded me of the Invisible Man. I only managed to get one photo as he passed and I couldn't really see if he was happy or not about me taking his photo. I didn't stop to ask either because he looked quite creepy.
If you look behind him you will see that he had a friend with him dressed in a similar fashion.
I haven't had chance today yet to catch up with your photos. I will try and catch up this evening.
I have had a 'me' day today and it has been lovely. I had my hair cut this morning, home for lunch and then drove up to Oakvale Farm to take some photos because it has been a beautifully sunny day today and very warm for winter. I think the temperature was around 19 degrees C.
I haven't had chance yet to process any of my photos. I will take a look at them over the weekend.
Ah !! the zombies were out and about were they --I would think , - not the most comfortable costume in the heat !!Most probably the pair would have the most grumpy look in the heat !
He is absolutely the invisible man, I think David McCallum could just be lurking behind those bandages.......loved that when I was a kid! Enjoyed the book too. Creepy but interesting.
Loved what you said about children's books, I totally agree. I have so enjoyed recently revisiting some classics of my youth, such good stories!
@littleconnie@jessikapanteleios They look like smog masks don't they but there is no smog and the towel for swimming is not a good idea because Maitland is inland and no ocean nearby. They were very strange.
with the pace of life seeming to speed up by the second 'me' days are pretty much essential..
Whatever the reason for the face covering - it makes for an interesting and unusual street shot.. well done Babs..

Is this case of OCD on the germ front ?
Makes an interesting street shot though.
Thanks to the people who commented on my 'me' day. I had a lovely day. David's cold had come back with a vengeance and he spent most of the day in bed with a temperature so I left him to rest after we had lunch. He is feeling much better again today. I don't think he will be going in hospital again for a while, he is still recovering from the germs he picked up there. ha ha.
