While I was bringing in logs for our wood burner fire this morning I noticed the gorgeous colours and patterns on this particular log, so had to take a photo of it before it meets its doom.
@quietpurplehaze Sun here too, but clear skies cause the temperatures to drop at night. We only usually have to light our wood burner in the evening, but yesterday was chilly all day and we had it lit most of the day and night too. today has been 21 degrees C.
Lovely - I am looking forward to getting our woodburner going again in the Winter. So cosy! I imagine you have had a lot of other stuff going on to have managed that decorating as well..... we are progressing but it's jolly hard work!
@louannwarren Thanks Lou Ann. I love our wood burner fire too. We only usually need it lit in the evenings here in winter, but occasionally, maybe three for four days a year it is lit all day.
@casablanca I love our woodburner fire too. Yes we have had one or two distractions this year that interfered with the decorating. Maybe things will settle down again soon.
I agree it is hard work, but looks fabulous when everything is finished.
As well as being totally beautiful in colouring and texture, making a gorgeous photographic image, you have the benefit of the warmth too.. a total all round winner Babs..
