St Paul's Parish Hall - Paterson by onewing

St Paul's Parish Hall - Paterson

I am moving very slowly today. Just when I thought things were getting a bit easier, I tore a muscle in my hip while I was stacking logs in our wood shed yesterday afternoon. I am supposed to be the 'responsible adult' at the moment too.

Not too sure how much time I will be able to spend sitting at the computer today, because my hip is really painful.

Good job David and I aren't horses, we would have been shot by now.

Today's posting from our day at Paterson is of St Paul's Parish Hall. You can't actually get a good photo of the actual St Paul's Church from the road because it is surrounded by trees, but the Parish Hall looked so quaint with its bell to ring for the Sunday School children.

St Paul's Church was built in 1845, but the adjoining land wasn't acquired until much later and in 1896 the parish hall and Sunday school was built.
Ouch, that sounds painful, hope you are feeling better soon.

Lovely simple architecture. I think some resting on the couch with a good book is a remedy for you both. Take care Xx

Ow ow ow! Hope that settles down speedily for you. Epsom Salts in a warm bath can help it work towards healing. You two are really going through it at the moment, aren't you!
Sweet building, I can imagine it ringing with laughter of children

What a useful little building, loads of fun & family gatherings in there! It looks well loved! So sorry about your back Babs, stacking logs is not a good idea at the moment when you are so busy but needs must when David is out of commission at the moment, I would have done just the same! Rest up & gave a nice soak in a hot bath!

@nicolecampbell @dawnee @777margo @beryl @888rachel @happysnaps @hermann @cruiser @littleconnie @gosia @casablanca @mittens @seattlite @sangwann @olenadole @claudiet @helenm2016 Thanks. Feeling much better today. Back still sore, but nothing like it was yesterday. I had a lovely hot bath and rested most of the day, a hot water bottle on my back all night eased the pain a lot and I had a reasonable nights sleep.
Got to be fit by tomorrow because we are taking friends to the theatre in Newcastle and I am the driver.

@happypat I am a glutton for punishment. Had to move the logs though because rain was forecast. A soak in the bath did the trick.

@carole_sandford Calamity is a good name for both David and I at the moment. ha ha. Roll on next year, I am fed up of this one.

Blimey Babs, have you walked under any ladders recently? Or kicked black cats, or … You are having the most incredibly awful run of medical bad luck. Do take care, we need you healthy and posting.

Oh so easy to do but you must be fed up with all these troubles! I hope you feel better soon, take care.

Put a little steeple on it and it would look like a church. Quaint little hall! So sorry to hear about your hip- my goodness you both are so battered right now! But I love your determination!

I was looking at this little building in Paterson last week - and thinking that I must spend a bit of time in Paterson one day and take some photos - it is a lovely little town. They also had some very nice yoghurt in the general store. Next time. Nice shot.
