I am posting photos this week taken at Birubi Beach last Sunday.
You can't go to Birubi and not take a photo of the camels. I just love camels.
Thanks for all your lovely comments and favs on yesterday's photo of the sand dunes. Many of you thought it was snow at first sight. The sand here is so white that I can see how you thought it was snow.
Had a busy day again today. Medical appointment this morning and out at a U3A event this afternoon so I will try and catch up this evening.
Ooh , Babs !!! An instant fav for this magical scene , not just the three wise men but a caravan of camels -- they could well have been crossing the desert under that wonderful evening sky ! Fav, fav, fav !!!!!!
@peadar I don't know why it hasn't shown up on the photo details Peter. The camera was the Lumix TZ80. David and I run a U3A photo course and our members cameras vary between iPhones, compact, advanced compacts and dslr's. One of our members is disabled and wanted to use a light camera instead of the dslr he was using, so I borrowed this TZ80 from a friend of ours and took it to Birubi to see what this little camera was capable of and to show him how the photos turned out. I was quite impressed with this little camera. All the photos of Birubi this week will be taken with the TZ80, so if it doesn't show up you will know what camera it is.
What a beautiful scene. Well composed with the line of debris from the beach in the foreground to match the line of camels. My camera is the TZ70 and I love it. I couldn't be doing with carrying heavy equipment around - too much neck pain for me. I hope your disabled member is happy with something similar.
@helenhall Thanks Helen. My friend was very pleased with the photos I took with this little camera and I think he will be buying one in the near future.
Amazing shot - so many stories could be told using this photo as the background. The sand and plants in the foreground and that dramatic sky really frame that fantastic camel train! Fav.
I'm not used to seeing camels on this site!!
