In Need of TLC

I just love the textures on this abandoned weatherboard house.

I think this is exactly how David and I have been feeling the last couple of months. We are both a bit battle-scarred. Hopefully things are looking up a bit now though. ha ha.

Thanks so much for your lovely comments on yesterday's shot.

I have been taking it easy today. I have a trapped nerve in my neck and it is agony.

Good job I'm not a horse, I would have been shot by now.
Bit of work there.... I know how you feel with your neck pain.. been suffering this week as well... a hot stone massage helped ...

We all need a bit of rice especially when we've taken a battering by life. Hope things look up for you soon. I love this photo though - full of character.

Certainly a weathered house in need of lots of work. Great shot of all the old textures.

Love your spirit - being able to joke about your pains. Hope they heal very soon. Beautiful capture of this antique piece.

@julzmaioro I've had a heat pack on my neck and shoulder most of the evening and it is feeling much better now.
September 29th, 2017
@beryl I could do with a lick of paint myself. Feeling much better this evening.
September 29th, 2017
@dide I've always been a pain in the neck Dianne. ha ha. Seriously though it is much better this evening.

@happysnaps @sangwann @novab My neck is much better this evening. Had a heat pack on it and it has eased the pain. I think I have had a nerve trapped. I have spondylosis in my neck and it plays up every now and then.

@hermann I am fine Sal. Will email you at the weekend.

This is very effective with just that square of colour. I really like all the decaying paint too. Hope your neck is better soon - sounds very painful.

ha ha seen a few like that before! looks great if its someone elses problem:)

Ouch ouch ouch, been there with that one! Glad it is easing off. I find those little stretches with your head half way between forward and your shoulder, kind of feels like a 45 degree position, looking down helpful. A physio taught me that one when I had a trapped nerve. It does help free it up.
I like the weatherboarding and it's always strangely appealing when it is tatty like this.

The textures are great.

I love the blue board, it really stands out. And the texture and tired look of the wood is excellent, if a little sad :)

September 30th, 2017
I hope you feel better. Beautiful pic.
September 30th, 2017
It would be visually pleasing with a new coat of paint, but then it would loose all that photographic character! Great shot and hang in there!
