No Snow For Santa by onewing

No Snow For Santa

This is the first free day I have had all month and apart from doing the ironing I have had a very lazy day.

Here is another shot from the Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights display.

No snow for Santa here in the Southern Hemisphere.
lovely capture - I remember Santa and his sleigh from last year at the gardens

December 22nd, 2017
What a wonderful light display well thought out and beautifully captured Babs:)
December 22nd, 2017
Beautifully captured display, Babs. Santa could have done with a donkey instead of the reindeer, haha.
December 22nd, 2017
He really could do with some snow
December 22nd, 2017
Wonderful capture. Your Christmas decoration night photos are so great!

What a great display you’re sharing with us. Northern Hemisphere (parts thereof) can keep their snow. It’s much over-rated IMHO.
December 22nd, 2017
Nice display.
December 22nd, 2017
Lovely light display :)
December 22nd, 2017
Drat. Santa needs snow. Beautiful shot, though.

None here either, and come to think of it where has Santa got to?! Hope your Christmas is peaceful and relaxing, Babs.
December 22nd, 2017
Such a lovely display of lights - I've been checking out your previous photos. Snow or not, Santa looks ready to fly.
December 22nd, 2017
Santa must be far too hot there in that big coat and hat! Great shot.
December 22nd, 2017
Lovely festive lights

December 22nd, 2017
Splendid Christmas lights :)
December 22nd, 2017
No snow here eighter. Great shot of this beautiful lighting display.
December 22nd, 2017
This is a very smart Santa sleigh! It looks beautiful in the dark. Did you have to wait quite late in the evening to get the dark sky Babs. I notice in NZ the lights don't show up so well until later in the evening. That's one good thing about here it's dark again 4pm almost!
December 22nd, 2017
We have fog and drizzle, I'm sure Santa will be well prepared for all these conditions!
December 22nd, 2017
Pretty Christmas display!
December 22nd, 2017
Shall I send some your way?
December 22nd, 2017
Such a great light display!

@seattlite @777margo @pusspup @rjb71 @gilbertwood @pcoulson @sangwann @kjarn @louannwarren @beryl @danette @merrelyn @mittens @henrir @ludwigsdiana @flowerfairyann @craftymeg @pdulis @taffy @jesperani @tremerryn @casablanca @hermann @pyrrhula @suzanne234 @loweygrace @kwind @elisasaeter Thanks. I think Santa is wearing his northern hemisphere outfit in this display. He must change to shorts and sandals when he gets here for real.

@littleconnie @golftragic I am with you. Christmas in summer is much more civilised. I don't miss snow at all.
December 23rd, 2017
@quietpurplehaze Thanks Hazel. I am looking forward to a quiet Christmas, it has been so hectic here this month. I will email you this weekend, sorry I haven't been in touch.
December 23rd, 2017
@inthecloud5 I think he changes into tropical gear once he reaches the Southern Hemisphere.
December 23rd, 2017
@happypat The sun sets around 8 pm at the moment here, so we did have to wait a while, but lots to see in the daylight first though.
December 23rd, 2017
@kathiecb No thank you Kathie. I don't miss snow at all. Haven't seen it for 29 years. Christmas in summer is much more civilised.
December 23rd, 2017
Lovely!
December 23rd, 2017
@onewing ooh that's early for the middle of summer! I notice in NZ it never stays light very late as it does here. Just a nice mix then at this time of the year.
December 23rd, 2017
Fabulous capture of this Christmas light display! Like in Australia, there will be no snow for Santa here in San Antonio. My husband and I are flying to Toronto on Christmas Day to spend the week with my in-laws and there will DEFINITELY be snow there. I'll be happy to get some snow photos while we're there. :-)

@happypat No we don't get the late evenings like in the UK. Just checked the sunrise and sunset today.
Sunrise 5.42 am sunset 8 pm.

Wonderful capture
December 23rd, 2017
I think this Santa needs a square meal for his coming tasks. He looks positively wasted.
December 23rd, 2017
Lovely Santa and reindeer photo. - no snow on Christmas day here too. Should be in double figures according to the forecast. Does help with travel plans though!
December 23rd, 2017
