Waiting for the Sunset

After my close encounter with the crystal ball in yesterday's shot, I decided to put the ball away and not attempt any other potential fire hazards.

As I was wandering over the dunes I spotted these two girls waiting for the sunset. I loved the way the low sunlight was shining on their hair.

I decided it was safer to risk getting told off by two teenagers for taking a sneaky photo than it was by the police arresting me for arson, ha ha.

@pusspup I go to Birubi very often, it is about 6 km from where I live, but it is my go to place for a peaceful walk. Walking through the dunes is amazing. If you look at my photos over the years there are lots from Birubi. We go to the Blue Juice café at the surf life saving club often too and that is on Birubi Beach, Anna Bay. Luckily we have lots of fabulous beaches here but Birubi has to be my favourite.
I have told David that when I die I want to be cremated and my ashes thrown at Birubi. ha ha.

@happypat The beach and dunes at Anna Bay go all the way to Newcastle and are 32 km long so it is quite easy not to see another person close by. Some of the dunes are huge with great dips in them too and in places the dunes are 30 km long and 1 km wide. It would be very easy to get lost in them.
