Watching

Thanks so much for putting yesterday's Relax and Breathe photo on the TP and the PP.

As you can see his friend here wasn't quite as relaxed. I think this chap was hoping I had a fish to give him.
Fun shot! The neck doesn't look straight and the head is so narrow with focused eyes... not sure if its distorted at all or they really look like this straight on? FAVorite!

September 24th, 2018
A great pose of the pelican and beautiful capture of it.

@gardenfolk No it isn't distorted, this is exactly how they look straight on. Their necks are very 'bendy' too.

@casablanca Yes, even more enormous when they pick up a fish too and then they swallow the fish whole and their necks look awful until they have fully swallowed it.

@777margo @pamknowler @cocobella @hermann @mv_wolfie @sangwann @helenhall @pdulis @carole_sandford @bkbinthecity @mittens @psychographer @angelar @flowerfairyann @carolmw @taffy @busylady @happypat @craftymeg @ziggy77 @beryl @pusspup @yaorenliu @seattlite @pyrrhula Thanks, they are such characters. The other pelican looked so relaxed, this one wasn't so sure. You don't quite realize just how long their beaks are until they look at you straight on.

@pcoulson Thanks Peter. He did look quite indignant as I took his photo.

@shailestha I think you are right.

He has quite the expression on him! I think if you return you'd better have fish with you. Great shot!
September 25th, 2018
OMG, Babs, you're a pelly whisperer. What an expression.

Haha, I love the way they look so expectantly at you and almost menacing. Nice shot.
September 25th, 2018
@madeinnl @kwind @haskar Thanks, he was quite a character.

@olivetreeann @golftragic @happysnaps He had his back to me and I said 'hey, turn round' and he did but I think he was disappointed when I didn't have a fish for him.
