Sealy Lookout Forest Sky Pier by onewing

Sealy Lookout Forest Sky Pier

I am slowly catching up with 365 since we were away and I am almost there now.

Thanks so much for putting yesterday's Matchstick Men shot on the TP and the PP.

This photo is of the lookout over Coffs Harbour and the road up to it is hair raising. Not so sure if it was worth the trip or not. Nice view, but not earth shattering.

I do hope the pier is secure because there was a lot of bounce when people walked on it and it was quite a drop if it gave out, ha ha.
Amazing and such a great lookout point for your yesterday's photo

Very scenic. I'm sure from the looks of the cabling that it is quite secure. A little give is expected in these types of structures - it's a good thing!

I like your choice of POV.

Wonderful to stroll along the treetops!

January 14th, 2019
Would love to be out there :)
January 14th, 2019
Wonderful capture.
January 14th, 2019
Beautiful perspective, clarity and colour, looking at its shape and construction its been designed to move, go back there in one hundred years and it will still be there Babs :)
January 14th, 2019
Does that just stick out over the void??? Oh me oh my!
January 14th, 2019
Looks interesting. Is it for whale watchers?
January 14th, 2019
It looks like a great lookout! Shame the view wasn't as impressive as the structure.
January 14th, 2019
Great viewing platform. The sea looks very rough.
January 14th, 2019
It is a cool looking structure :)
January 14th, 2019
Looks like walking the plank!
January 14th, 2019
@beryl This wasn't the viewing point for yesterdays photo, that was taken from the lighthouse at Port Macquarie and this is in Coffs Harbour.

@stray_shooter I didn't expect it to fall down and it did look quite safe, just didn't need too many 'large' people on there at the same time as me, ha ha.

@taffy @jacqbb @happysnaps @dide @peterday @gilbertwood @tonygig @paul10 Thanks. It is an impressive structure. There is another look out point just a bit further along that leads down an Aboriginal trail. That was interesting too.

@pcoulson I am sure it will still be there in 100 years and hopefully they will have improved the road up to it too by then, ha ha.

@casablanca Yes it does stick out over the void.

@sangwann Not for whale watchers, it is too far away to see too many whales from up there. Lots of whale watching points along the foreshore though.

@bella_ss The view wasn't too bad, I will post a photo of that tomorrow, but other look outs were easier to get to with the same view.

@claudiet What you can see isn't the sea, it is the houses at Coffs Harbour. I will post a photo of the view tomorrow.

@pusspup Feels like walking the plank too.

Oops a blunder on my part - my excuse is , it was past my bedtime and didn't red your info !! ! !-- sorry running out of excuses !!
January 14th, 2019
Oh my, secure?! There have been times I wished to have a bridge builder with me to verify the soundness of the structure. This sounds like one of those times! Wonderful capture though.
January 14th, 2019
Wonderful pier and ocean view!
January 14th, 2019
Now you just need to show us the view from the end!
January 14th, 2019
Such a beautiful sky.
January 14th, 2019
The view must be amazing from there, great shot.
January 14th, 2019
Lovely candid capture, Babs.
January 14th, 2019

January 14th, 2019
Great shot
January 14th, 2019
Does this go over the forest? So cool if it does. An experience - enjoyable or otherwise.
January 14th, 2019
I can see it would be quite scary to walk to the end of there...I don’t like a wobble!
January 14th, 2019
A fabulous image
January 14th, 2019
what a beautiful place.... nice to see blue skies!
January 14th, 2019
@beryl No need for excuses Beryl. Understandable when we seem to be on the road and take photos from different places.

I have more senior moments than I care to remember. ha ha.

@louannwarren It can be quite scary up there, I am sure it is safe though. Wouldn't like to be there on a windy day.

@angelar @ludwigsdiana @craftymeg I will post the view today.

@radiogirl @henrir @mittens @seattlite @lesip @sarahlth @Dawn @samae Thanks, the road up to the lookout was even scarier than standing on the pier.

@flowerfairyann Yes it does, it is quite a drop when you look down. So high.

@happypat I'm not too bad with wobble, but glad I wasn't there on a windy day. We climbed the Illawarra Fly a couple of years ago and that doesn't only wobble it sways too. David wasn't too keen, ha ha.
January 14th, 2019
Well, it looks like it's sturdy and it also looks like it has a great view. The wobble would throw me a bit off too- but I always get flutters on bridges and structures like that. Nice shot.
January 14th, 2019
Great shot of the look out and nice view.
January 14th, 2019
Looks like a lovely place to visit.
January 15th, 2019
Great shot. Did you get a shot of the view from the lookout
January 15th, 2019
@olivetreeann it does look safe but wouldn't want to go there if its windy
January 15th, 2019
@bkbinthecity yes I will post the view later today
January 15th, 2019
Looks like a good spot with camera in hand.
January 15th, 2019
That looks like a cool place!
January 15th, 2019
It certainly looks like it would be a fabulous view, such a shame it wasn't really worth it
January 15th, 2019
Great tree's eye view! :)
