Over the next couple of days I am going to post photos taken at the Solitary Islands Aquarium in Coffs Harbour. It is situated at Southern Cross University's National Marine Science Centre and is a fabulous place to visit.
I was trying to take a photo of a small shark in one of the tanks but this ray kept popping up and smiling at me. It seemed desperate for attention, so I just had to post it on my 365. It will now be world famous, ha ha. Hope you like its smile.
It wasn't easy to get this photo because I had to be quick. I never knew when it was going to pop up.
I tried not to get glare from any of the lights or reflections through the glass either but I think I have just about managed it, even if it isn't the best picture in the world.
Such a cute smile. If course it will be world famous now. I got an email containing "fantastic photos" and I would almost swear one of them was taken by a 365er. If course no credits were given for the photos.
@henrir I am sure he will be happy he is now world famous.
pity they didn't have the names of the photographer on the emailed photos you received. @pyrrhula I think he just wanted to look at the people watching him.
Last time I was at the London Aquarium there was a big open top tank full of rays that you could pet and feed - they were a very friendly bunch
@4rky We have a shark and ray centre near us that you can get up close and personal with.
@trinkaholub ha ha, he does look like Cassandra doesn't he.

@olivetreeann @loweygrace @luvmynynix He did smile nicely for the camera and he made me smile too.
