Female Orange Lacewing Butterfly by onewing

Female Orange Lacewing Butterfly

I am a bit late posting today because we have been at a drinks and nibbles party this afternoon for some of our U3A members.

When we go on our Canberra trips with U3A some of our members who aren't on the trip pick us up from home and drive us to the bus depot and then come back 3 days later to collect us from the depot and drive us home again. It saves us having to make our own way there. So as a thank you we have a party in their honour.

Here is another photo from the butterfly house and this is a female orange lacewing. I posted a photo of a male orange lacewing a couple of days ago.

You are lucky to have such a supportive group around you! This is beautifully focused! fav

@maggiemae @gilbertwood @annied @happysnaps @pcoulson @ludwigsdiana @pdulis @beryl @samae @henrir @louannwarren @kwind @tonygig @tonygig @carolmw @ziggy77 @jenp @gamelee @pyrrhula @carole_sandford @jgpittenger @yorkshirekiwi @golftragic Thanks, a bit late replying today, we have been at a friends birthday party.

@sangwann @jacqbb Inside the butterfly house there is a board with a photo of each of the varieties of butterfly in there and it said that this was a female orange lacewing. I wouldn't have had a clue if I hadn't read it.

@merrelyn @olivetreeann I thought the same, she is a bit battle-scarred, maybe been in a bit of a domestic.

@casablanca Yes the party was fun. We had drinks and nibbles to thank our friends who ferried us to the bus depot and back on our Canberra trip. It makes it so much easier when we can be picked up.
During the party we put on a PowerPoint slide show of photos taken by some of our group, myself included, of our trip and everyone enjoyed it.
