Thanks so much for putting yesterday's Salamander Sunset on the TP and the PP. It was a very quick photo on my way home and definitely a right place right time shot.
While I was waiting for David to have all his eye tests at the Newcastle Eye Hospital a couple of days ago, I kept myself occupied by reading my book, checking out 365 on my phone and also taking photos of the fish tank in the hospital waiting room. I didn't think you would want to see a photo of my book or of my phone so here is a photo of the fish tank.
I found him! What a super shot. Love peeking under the water at sea plants and fish. A favourite memory of ours was swimming (and I can't really swim so I used a lilo!) off the beach at Hook Island in the Whitsundays. It was like God had got his felt tipped pens out and gone crazy with colour and shape! This kind of shot always reminds me of that holiday.
It was rather subdued lighting in the waiting room because most of the people were there for eye tests or cataract surgery etc, so some had to have drops in their eyes to dilate their pupils. The dim lighting made it difficult to see to read my book, so it was then that I got out my camera and found things to photograph. I think I kept the patients occupied as they were watching me taking photos.
@beryl It is therapeutic watching fish swimming around in the tank.
@casablanca I was reading The Amazing Mrs Livesey by Freda Marnie Nicholls and now I am on to my next book.
PS What book were you reading?
