Still Raining by onewing

Still Raining

It has been another wet day. Yesterday we had 49 mm rain according to our rain gauge and it has rained most of the day today too. Hopefully the dam levels will rise now. We had more rain in one day yesterday than we had in the previous two months together.

There is a barbeque area at this part of the beach but I guess nobody will be sitting here for a while.
Oooh does look wet! No BBQ 's .ground looks sodden

Oh that does look a little miserable ... Sunshining here ... but still a bit chilly ..
June 2nd, 2019
never mind
June 2nd, 2019
49mm? Your rain seems to be like English buses: nothing for ages, then three come at once!

Still it doe make for an interesting image Babs hope you kept the camera dry, I have a small travel umbrella in my camera rucksack for such this type of even, clearly it gets lots of use in West Yorkshire, lol:)

Still not a drop has fallen down here
June 2nd, 2019
That is a lot of rain. We are expecting rain tomorrow so I was out in the garden today transplanting plants.
June 2nd, 2019
Looks like a very miserable day.
June 2nd, 2019
You still managed a fabulous shot Babs, great composition.
June 2nd, 2019
Looks like a winter scene already. Lovely shot and composition.
June 2nd, 2019
That is a lot of rain. And a good shot - tells the story.
June 2nd, 2019
Wow! Looks wet :)
June 2nd, 2019
Ohh..wwaayyyyyy too much water !
June 2nd, 2019
...a touch damp
June 2nd, 2019
A great rainy scene. We had over 11 inches of rain in May. All lakes are full and overflowing.
June 2nd, 2019
@brennieb It doesn't take long for it to soak in, it is only sand under the grass.

@julzmaioro We really need the rain so I don't mind and the sunshine will return soon.

@casablanca We really need more rain, but unfortunately, we get a good downpour and when the sun comes out it evaporates again. Our sun, as you know, is fierce even in winter.

@pcoulson Yes I kept my camera dry Peter, but I did get webbed feet.

@kjarn Apparently according to the news you should get some rain tomorrow.

@nicolecampbell We need lots more, it has been so dry here.

@shellee It was a bit dull but the sun came out this afternoon.

@ludwigsdiana Thanks Diana.

@sangwann It really was a winter scene the last couple of days and we are only two days into winter too.

@peadar We desperately need the rain Peter so I don't mind a few wet days. We know the sun will shine again soon.

@gilbertwood We have had a soggy couple of days. The poor birds who visit our garden are looking very bedraggled.

@cutekitty I don't mind the rain, we desperately needed it. It has been so dry here.

@peterday Not damp, just wet. We don't get the damp like you do in the UK.

@louannwarren Crikey, Lou Ann 11 inches is a lot, I have just worked out that it is about 280 mm. We haven't even had that much so far this year.

Excellent shot and I love your composition. It sure looks like a rainy day there.
June 2nd, 2019
I’m sorry you’re getting all this rain but it makes a great photo. This is fabulous.
June 2nd, 2019
Definitely not good BBQ weather :)
June 2nd, 2019
Great capture except that things do look soggy
June 2nd, 2019
You can see how much rain you've had with the sea all churned up. The bbq looks a forlorn sight but it's time will come again. In the meantime, keep your feet dry Babs!
June 2nd, 2019
Fabulous shot
June 2nd, 2019
In spite of the rain a delightful sight of the sea and the boats - , the image so beautifully framed by the natural overhanging branches ! fav
June 2nd, 2019
Great shot.
June 2nd, 2019
Still a good capture af the dreary conditions.
June 2nd, 2019
Great atmospheric shot, hope the dams are filling
June 2nd, 2019
A super capture. I suppose this is much needed rain ☔
June 2nd, 2019
That does look wet, hope you get enough to fill that dam, nice and atmospheric
June 2nd, 2019
Puddles Babs! Lots of lovely rain!
June 2nd, 2019
I guess no one will really mind missing out on BBQ for a while- especially with the drought you've had. Good shot.
June 2nd, 2019
Without rain no grows. So be happy. Great shot of this nice, wet place.
June 2nd, 2019
Does look rather soggy, some great puddles!
June 2nd, 2019
Oh Wow that is wet!
June 3rd, 2019
Looks like Oregon
June 3rd, 2019
We had about that last night Babs. One of my friends tells me she's building an ark.
June 3rd, 2019
@mittens @susiemc @merrelyn @seattlite @flowerfairyann @lynne5477 @beryl @tonygig @busylady @jacqbb @carolmw @craftymeg @happypat @olivetreeann @pyrrhula @carole_sandford @radiogirl @jgpittenger Thanks. We desperately needed some rain, so this sight is quite good for us. The forecast says we will be having rain for the next few days and then the sunshine will return again.

@golftragic David thought of building an ark too but his back isn't too good at the moment. Spondylolisthesis playing up again and his vertebrae has dislocated.
June 3rd, 2019
Great news Babs!! We had 13mm and were pleased with even that - at least it will help the epiphytes.
June 3rd, 2019
Fabulous shot. Great framing.
June 4th, 2019
