Wild Weather

We took a friend of ours up to Boat Harbour this afternoon to see if we could see any whales, but as you can see the weather is pretty wild.

It was so chilly up there out on the headland too, so we didn't stay long and came back here for a cup of hot chocolate and some cake.

No whales to be seen today.

I have just driven my pal home so am going to check out your photos for a while now before I have to think about getting dinner ready.

Luckily we don't get too many really cold days here in winter. I think it was only about 13 c yesterday (55 f) which is cold enough for me. We nearly got blown off the cliffs.

@maggiemae We didn't stay up there for very long. I love watching the ocean though whatever the weather.

@helenhall There will be other opportunities to see the whales as they travel north from Antarctica for the winter. If we don't see them this time, they will travel back down again in about 3 months time.
It was very exhilarating though watching the waves
