Thanks so much for your lovely comments and favs for my Doors photo yesterday.
I was going to post a collage of windows today, but changed my mind and decided to post this card instead.
Today is my birthday and believe me I am not '42' but had to chuckle when I opened the card from David this morning.
The significance of '42' goes way back to my Mum. When she got too old to be able to tell anyone she was 21, she doubled it and said she was 42 and stayed at that age until she died many, many years later. In fact Mum was never any age and I seem to have inherited her thinking because I always tell people I am 42 as well.
At Mum's funeral in 1994, we were all sitting in the church looking very sad, when I said to my sister 'How old was Mum' because her age was never mentioned. She thought about it for a moment and then said '42' We both started laughing. It really lightened such a sad day and thank you Mum for always being 42.
I also got another lovely birthday present today when I discovered that my 'End of a beautiful day' was No 1 on the TT.
Well Happy 42nd birthday .. like your story .. You are as young as you feel.. so 42 sounds pretty good to me... Congrats on the TT I am pretty chuffed that I am there with you .. albeit a bit further down the list..

Happy 42nd birthday and wishing you many more!! I don't mind telling people my age so much- especially since I don't look it! I suppose I could alter it- maybe I will when I can't remember anymore- hehe! Truthfully- wishing you a great day and a wonderful year ahead- full of photo opps and days to enjoy them.

Happy birthday! X my dad was always 29, then 39 when I told him I was older than he was and it was getting ridiculous. Then I found a key ring with" 39 and holding "and later a "39 forever one." ...Andrew has that one now. You can be 42 if you like, Ed keeps saying he is 47 and won't accept it when. Tell him the numbers are just the wrong way around.
