My Favourite Tree by onewing

My Favourite Tree

I just love this dead mangrove tree in the ocean and I photograph it occasionally as you will have seen by now.

The ocean side of our area at the moment is quite wild as you saw from yesterday's photo, but this side of the bay is quite sheltered.
Oh great shot .. google Wanaka Tree I think it could possibly be the most photographed tree in world... I am one guilty party ..

A stunning but somewhat poignant image of this tree drowning !! Beautiful tender colour tones in the sea and sky and a watery reflection ! fav
September 9th, 2019
it seems that these are the roots of the tree, not its reflection in the water !!!

@julzmaioro @golftragic @dide @maggiemae Yes I have seen the Wanaka tree on 365 a few times, but this one isn't as famous.
You can't actually see it from the road and to get to it you have to tramp through bushland to this part of the beach.

@sangwann It is a mangrove and they grow all along this part of the beach.

@casablanca Thanks, got the email.

@ludwigsdiana Yes it is the tiny planet tree and the same tree that has featured in my project a few other times too.

@yaorenliu It would be difficult to photograph the sunlight just catching it because the sun is always behind this tree. Bushland behind me and water in front.

@brennieb @annied @beryl @ladoga365 @peadar @s4sayer @pistache @pamknowler @pcoulson @koalagardens @777margo @happysnaps @happysnaps @momamo @gosia @pusspup @ingrid01 @mittens @tonygig @taffy @danette @angelar @craftymeg @carole_sandford @happypat @haskar @suesmith @robz @pyrrhula @samae @louannwarren @bradsworld @chejja @radiogirl @olivetreeann @photographycrazy Thanks, I have taken photos of this tree lots of times. I always love walking through the bushland to get to this part of the beach because there isn't any easy access to it and I love having a beach to myself.
The sun had just set over to the left on the other side of the bay and this is the colour I was left with. A beautiful time of the day.
