I have got a busy day at home today doing a batch cook to stock up the freezer with meals I can just reheat for when I have hectic days. So far I have made, sausage casserole, chicken korma, Moroccan lamb and at the moment I am making bolognaise sauce and chicken satay. I am hoping to have a stock of about 20 or more meals in the freezer for coming weeks.
Another photo from Newcastle. I spotted the marine rescue boat racing along. It is such a shame that the Custom House, which you can barely see on the left of this picture, is dwarfed by the high rise buildings that have appeared in Newcastle over the last few years. A lot of the history from the centre of Newcastle has disappeared, but there is still some to be found, thankfully.
Lovely capture. Hope that was just an exercise and that nobody asked for help. Same here about modern buildings dwarfing old beautiful historic buildings.
I agree that cities need to change but I always hope that they leave the old buildings in place. Sometimes the old and the new look great together. Love the shot of the boat in action.
@ethelperry No David didn't do the washing up, I did it as I went along. He was busy raking up leaves and branches from the garden after our wild weather a couple of days ago.
@peadar@pattyblue Thanks, cooking went well. Newcastle city council keep trying to re-vitalize the city, but it hasn't managed yet.
@sangwann It is always sad to see some of the old buildings disappear.
I am extremely impressed that you can keep going through all that cooking. It is a good panorama with the rescue boat in the foreground and lots of Newcastle to pick out, as well as the interest in the sky.
It seems that all cities have this problem- putting out the old and losing the history with it to make way for the new. At least some of it lives on in pictures.
