Yesterday we were out for lunch with friends and as we have had so many lunches and dinners out in the last couple of weeks, we decided that we needed a serious walk on the beach. So last night after arriving home and getting changed into our shorts and tee shirts etc off we went for a long walk just before sunset.
You can see in this picture just how much smoke haze there is in the sky from bushfires up and down the coast.
Today is rather windy and at last we can see the occasional clouds again and not just the thick smoky sky.
Thanks so much for your lovely comments and favs over the last few days. I am pretty busy at the moment but will catch up on your photos this afternoon and evening.
Beautiful shot. Smoke does seem to make wonderful sunsets, but that’s about the only good thing. We are finally getting a good soak so fire danger should be less for some months now. Hope your fires are out soon.
@onewing I dread to think what will happen once the summer heat arrives down here. We're having a prolonged burst of wintry weather. Five layers for golf today.

Luckily we only have one fire burning currently near us but with over 120 fires currently burning across New South Wales I think more smoke will head our way before the fires are put out. We have had fires since June but currently it is really bad. According to the news over 2 million hectares of bushland had been burnt since June.
