Sparkling Web by onewing

Sparkling Web

We finally had some rain, it hasn't rained for about 3 weeks until yesterday and we only had 3 mm last night and this morning.

It was a good job too because some moron decided to light a bushfire about 5 km from where we live. The smoke has cleared now though and even the small amount of rain has helped damp down the fire. Downgraded to 'watch and act' now.

Three fires were lit but two were put out quite quickly, just the one in bushland at Taylors Beach really took hold.

What an amazing web and lovely composition. Hard to believe after what Australia has been through that these morons are still around!

Wonderful light and detail captured in this shot Babs:)

How intricate it is! Superb capture of it and a great pov to bring the light to show all the details. After all you have been through I think those who set the fires must be either too stupid or simply dumb.

A nice web shot, the light on it is lovely. Sorry to hear about the bush fires - I really can't understand how people can do this espacially after all the destruction by bush fires in the recent past.

@ludwigsdiana @annied @dide @beryl @sangwann @fishers @happypat Thanks. The fire is under control now. Three fires were lit but two were put out quickly.

@koalagardens @ethelperry @robz @kjarn @happysnaps @pcoulson @30pics4jackiesdiamond @pattyblue @louannwarren @gijsje @pistache @ingrid01 @carolmw @craftymeg @carole_sandford @brennieb @elisasaeter Thanks. I had to stand on our garden table to get this shot as it is under the patio area at the back of our house. The things we do for a photo.

@casablanca The web and architect have now been removed, but I suspect another occupant will move in again soon. We have lots of spiders waiting for accommodation in our garden.

April 29th, 2020
Cool web! My- didn't anyone learn anything from all the fires you had last year???

@jgpittenger @gamelee @olivetreeann Unfortunately there are a lot of morons in the world who seem to enjoy just lighting fires. Luckily the fire was kept under reasonable control, but there is a large koala habitat in that area and I don't know how many koalas have been lost.

@quietpurplehaze It is a pretty web isn't it, but I don't think you would be too keen on the spider that lived next to the drainpipe, it was huge.
