We have had a very stressful week, sorry for the absence. I will catch up on your photos when I am able.
As you know David wasn't feeling too well and when kidney or gall stones were eliminated the medics thought a chest infection which was shown on the CT and he was sent home from hospital with antibiotics.
The chest infection is clearing up now but a couple of days later he had to have a contrast CT which shows more detail. About one hour after the CT we got a call to say get him back to the hospital immediately. So a couple of days ago I had to drive him back to hospital.
Apparently the contrast CT showed he has multiple blood clots in his lower lung and he has been put on blood thinners hopefully to dissolve the clots.
He is home again now and for the first time in ages we have both had a reasonable nights sleep.
I have to monitor him closely at the moment because for the next week he is on double dose of thinners and then has to reduce them to a single dose
I took this photo on our walk at Shoal Bay a couple of weeks ago.
We are lucky to have so many beaches to walk on, but at the moment I don't think David will do a lot of walking.
I haven't been out with my camera for a while so will have to rely on old photos for the time being.
Oh dear, what a week you've had..
Sounds like your medics there are really on the ball and have given him prompt treatment. Take it easy both and hope David gets better soon. Lovely shot btw.
Take good care of both of you. Hope the healing goes well and David get back on track. Lovely beach shot - you will get there again when the time is right.....
I am so sorry to hear about David's ordeal- puts mine in perspective for sure! Put the two of you first- you know 365 will always be here when life settles down again. I might be relying on some archive shots too!
Oh what a scare for you both! Thank god you got such prompt treatment! Take care both of you and stay safe! Beautiful scene - I am sure it won’t be long before you are back there walking!
How good to know that they found the reason, albeit a scary one. Look after yourselves and try to get some rest now. Wonderful capture of this beautiful beach.
Well that was a shock to get that result Babs...scary when you hear the word blood clot & thank goodness for prompt attention & the right medication. Best wishes to David as he recovers & hopefully lots of walks ASAP. Hope you are allowed friends round to visit while you are housebound....I’m sure they will all be there cheering David on. Thinking of you both & take it easy each day. X
Oh Babs> What a week , so stressful for you both. I hope things are on the mend now and the blood thinners will clear the clots. Thank goodness you now have a diagnosis and the right treatment. There is nothing worse than not knowing. Thinking of you both and sending positive thoughtsX
Ooh Babs - what a week you both have had - So glad David got his diagnoses and the right treatment so quickly - Now will be the time of reducing and getting the right dosage for David - Hope you both will now have time to rest and relax ! Thinking of yo both !
Oh my, I hope David is on the mend very soon, and that you look after yourself too. This is a truly beautiful shot - I'm sure you will be back at Shoal Bay very soon.
That is quite a week you and David have had. Well done to the medics for picking up the problem, hopefully David will soon be on the way to a full recovery. Look after yourselves! A lovely beach scene.
A scarey week. great the hospital called you back so fast. with the blood thinners your husband has a greater chance of a quick recovery. lovely beach scene.
Oh my goodness! I had a friend that had a pulmonary embolism and it was life threatening! She had to be life flighted by helicopter to the hospital and took months to recover. So glad your husband received help before this occurred! Take good care!

I love your beach shots!
I will look after him. I don't think anyone is having a good year in 2020 but at least the sun is shining and we live in a beautiful part of the world, could be a lot worse.
