Blast From the Past

A collage of some of the relics from the past at Tanilba House last weekend.

I am posting a bit earlier today because we are just off for a walk before it starts to get dark.

We put our clocks back one hour last night and so it will get dark earlier as we head towards winter here in the southern hemisphere.

What a great collection and well organized in your collage. I feel old - I remember my mom sewing on a similar looking Singer sewing machine and of course I used typewriters for years.

It would appear that most of you have memories of most of the pictures in this collage. I too have seen or used all of them too. My Mum had a Singer sewing machine just like this one. I have used a typewriter like this one back in schooldays. We still have a lamp like the top right photo. My Nanna had an ewer and basin in one of her bedrooms and the mangle brought back memories of our first married quarter during our RAF days. There was a mangle similar to this in the shed and although we never used it, it was still on inventory so we had to keep it in the house.
