Today is the last day of my Newcastle theme, I hope you have enjoyed the trip around the city.
This is a photo of Fort Scratchley at night. This didn't come out as well as it could have because it was hand held. I didn't have my tripod with me. Must go back and have another go sometime.
Tomorrow I will be starting a new theme for a month. I think I will do a month of evening and night time shots. So this could really be the start of that too as well as the end of the Newcastle theme.
Thank you for the tour Babs, I have really enjoyed it. That is a tricky shot hand held. I always get upset when I forget my tripod. I really am looking forward to your evening shots next month.
@angelat Thanks Angela. I don't know if it is lit all the time but we were at a performance of Music of the Guns at Fort Scratchley in March and It ended with the Australian Army Band playing Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture complete with the firing of the Fort guns and the pealing of the bells from Newcastle Cathedral I took a picture closer to the fort which I posted in March and this was from further down in town.
