I am a bit late posting tonight because we have had our regular wine tasting and barbeque this afternoon and evening, which was held at our house this time.
Everyone has now left and we have just finished clearing up and putting the empties in the recycle bin.
Thought I would post my photos for today before hopping into bed.
Todays flora photo is of an agapanthus in our garden. This one is a bit of a late developer this year. I think this particular flower is a bit in the shade and so has been a little late flowering.
So envious! I've had one for a number of years now, and last year (2013) was the first time it bloomed in ground. And it didn't bloom this year. It has great foliage, and gets bigger each year, but no blooms. How do you take care of yours?
Sounds like a very South African to do! We call a barbeque a "braai" in my neck of the woods. I just love how these Agapanthuses unfurl slowly, slowly, keeping you guessing ...
@shesnapped Thanks Ashley, the quick answer to your question is that we don take care of the agapanthus. The plants in our garden have to be survivors I'm afraid. They do prefer direct sunlight and most of our agapanthus are in sun, but this one is in a rather shaded area so was a bit late in flowering. Our soil is almost pure sand too, so not a lot of nutrition there, they seem to cope with it though. Hope you have better luck with yours soon.
@_catherine_@pcoulson@seattlite@julzmaioro@kporte@hermann@happypat@ethelperry@debilz@chimfa@kathiecb@tabarlett Thanks again everyone. I promise I will catch up with your photos soon. Pretty hectic here at the moment though. We are off to yet another Christmas party tonight at Tanilba House. I think things should quieten down by the end of the week though. Had summer storms here rather a lot though the last few days too, so been limited with computer access.
