As we were walking back to the car today after taking photos of the mosaic at Mayfield I spotted this fairy iris and thought it would be ideal for my flora theme.
A bit of background to this photo. David and I were in Mayfield taking photos of the street art and on our walk from one location to another I stopped to take this photo. David didn't realize I had stopped and a few minutes later walked back to where I was saying "I have just been walking up the street on my own talking to myself because I didn't realize you had stopped". My reply was, "Nobody would notice, a lot of people talk to themselves in Mayfield". ha ha.
Gorgeous flower with a beautiful name. You definitely need to rethink your outlook on flowers Babs, you have some wonderful flower shots in your Project.
@paulaw Sheralee and I have just spotted that this is on the PP. Maybe I should rethink my flower photos. I do like them, just never think of taking photos of them.
@rosiekind thanks so much for the fav Rosie. I don't usually take photos of flowers and my daughter said "Mum is so not a flower person", so I had to do a month of flowers for her, just to show I could do it. ha ha. Thanks for the follow.
