Street Art - Day 13 by onewing

Street Art - Day 13

This artwork is on display on Hunter Street in Newcastle and was painted as part of the TiNA (This is not art it's a lifestyle) Festival 2014. Three street artists contributed to this work and they are Sekt, Pkue and Asone.

Today's photo shows the whole of the artwork and over the next few days I will show the individual paintings. Not sure which artist painted which of the works, but they each have their individual styles.

AsOne
Originally from the UK, AsOne has been a graffiti artist for the last 18 years. Now based in Sydney he has travelled the globe painting - from London to New York, Rio to Sydney. Holding a Higher National Diploma in Illustration and design and BA hons in Marketing and Communication, he is as at home designing graphics, websites and corporate logos as he is painting graffiti and aerosol art.

Pkue - Street artist from Paris, France.

Sekt - Can't find any information about this artist.

The mural created by Blackbook Ink, which was commissioned by Octapod with support from Panthers Newcastle and The City of Newcastle’s Pride of Place (PoP) Program as part of the TiNA Festival.

Great art work though a pity that the louvres are broken and in disrepair above the art :)

@hermann This part of Newcastle is the area that developers want to get their hands on. Now that the railway station has closed this land is worth a fortune. The people who own the land have been hanging on to it until the price is right for a sale. It's all about money.

@sioux Thanks Sue, Newcastle has three festivals each year for the last two or three years and the artworks are all commissioned. We can download a map which shows where they all are, so it isn't difficult to find. Just a lot of walking.
