Well I think that's what he is. Happy to be corrected.
This was at Royal fremantle Golf Club for day one of Country Week Golf. All the country bumpkins come down to the big smoke for a weel of golf.
All good fun
I did try to get one as he flew away...out of focus :(

Red tailed black cockatoo I think they technically call them... obviously named by a male? Stating the obvious? hahah...nice capture though... gorgeous bird :)

Good timing on your part here. I only learned about them around a month ago. They were part of a birds in flight demo at Healesville Sanctuary (the day of my rainbow). Beautiful birds. My brother's partner got to handle one and feed it.

It was only the second time I had seen one. The first was on the Sunshine Coast. My sister lives on a golf club estate at Peregian Springs, and a pair came and sat in the tree right out the back of their house. Never imagined I would see one in Perth!!
