It was the girls Father Daughter dance at school last night. Its a dance where all the dads stand along the wall while the girls run around and dance together. Every once in a while I get lucky and they pick me to dance with. I love it! Some times I just have to leave the camera behind and enjoy the moment, so I took the girls on a quick shoot before the dance.

That is really something, Jerry ... the soft texture of the girls and their dresses contrasting wth the hard steel of the railway lines. (Were they auditioining for a remake of 'The Perils opf Pauline'?) Defionitely a Fav for me!
Really nice feeling to this shot. and it is so true about putting your camera down to enjoy life, I have been ultra aware of this since the birth of my daughter in November.

Seeing this my heart did a little jump.. I felt the emotions behind the picture.. father & daughter and the love.. I too enjoyed as many here have already written.. the difference in materials.. hard vs. soft..
I always think there are so many times that come back to me that are moments just as the one you captured here... heart crunchies.. things that make one realize how much love someone had for them.. me thinks that perhaps I am not really saying the words I feel.. maybe this song by Trace Adkins will: (I cry [happy tears] every time I hear it) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvVIZBMUkqc&feature=related
