I have a love-hate relationship with my 10-22mm wide angle lens. I want to love it so bad! It takes ultra crisp shots, feels great in the hand, and gets it all in the shot, but I love the close up shots,macros, pieces of the shot to leave a little to the imagination! I love finding a piece of composition in the big picture!
So, I think I'm going to give myself a challenge to use only my wide angle for a week. I see everyone fantastic wide angle shots and it makes me want to enjoy it!..I just don't know when I'll start it! :o)
This is awesome! I love the angle and the editing is great! I do love my wide angle lens, but know it can be frustrating at times. I have noticed, I have to only use it for certain shots and try to make sure the foreground has as much interest as the subject. I look forward to seeing your shots!
Haven't got enough lens to comment on wide angle but I can't wait to get a macro one! This train shot is awesome! I love the angle and the how it dominates the shot!

The texture and grain of the wood and the metal make me wanna reach out and feel it.. the color is mesmerizing .. all in all, Jerry.. one helluva a shot!!
WOW! WOW! WOW! This is so awesome! My boys would go nuts about this (hubby included). You have captured the very essence of steam in this Jerry. Love your idea to go wide for a week. I still don't own a wide angle but it is right at the top of my wish list. Looking forward to seeing what you do this week with it.

Glad you did this challenge. I am actually renting a wide angle lens when I am in California to see if it is worth the investment. Yes I figured that while on vacation I will get to more wide open spaces. Really loved each and every picture from the week but this photo really stood out with detail
