Holly crap this SOOC thing is hard! Today I found a great subject! It was an old steel bridge covered with growth from vines and bushes and the concrete pillars were covered with graffiti! It was delicious! Why am I posting this and not the bridge you may ask, I just couldn't get the shot! I tried monochrome, sepia, tilt, on the ground, I even jacked up the ISO to give it tons of noise...nothin'!
The sky was blown out, the graffiti seemed lifeless, Ugh! Ok, I'm done with that! It felt good to get that off my chest!
This is a shot from the fire I built tonight for movie night with the girls. We roasted marshmallows and popped popcorn, fun! Then came the movie... I live in a house full of girls my dog is a girl my two cats are girls, even the hamster is a girl! So, when it comes to a vote on which movie to watch, Thor is right out the door! 7 min into "Judy Moody" my eyes glazed over and the next thing I know, I'm here on 365! :D The life of a sacrificial Dad!

Sounds like a good night for the girls! We have family night on a Friday, yesterday was playing cards other times it's the wii or we have yet to play monopoly which lasts for hours but William loves it! Maybe you can go back to the amazing bridge when your back up and running, but in the meantime I love you fire shot, I can't wait to start having fires when it gets a little bit colder:)
Well, SOOC is harder because you have to choose your shot well. I find myself taking longer to decide what to post and being so critical of every little thing. Love your fire--I'm a pyro at heart! Sorry about Judy Moody! Hope you get to see THOR soon! :-)

I love this fire shot! It's really beautiful and makes me feel all warm. It's a fav for me because I like it so much and to show you that SOOC images can be wonderful, too!

Definitely a face in there! Looks like a dementor shot straight out of Harry Potter. Thought you'd done a halloween shot a first glance, so if this is SOOC....even scarier. Always something magical about a real fire though. Glad you had a great night with all your girls. Hope the 'chick flick' was good in the end.

This is really lovely and perfectly depicts your warm and cozy night spent in with the girls - even if you did end up on 365:) I ended up doing the same thing last night when my husband put on one those stupid "Lock-Up" shows where they document lives of American prisoners in for life sentences. He loves em, I can't stand them:)
love it! i am actually really enjoying the SOOC thing and am going to keep one of my albums just that_ for me the editing is such a fun part of the process< but leaving the shot as is has its own appeal- thanks Jerry for the challenge:)))
nice one Jerry, fire shot are pretty difficult - I've tried a couple this project. I'm fully naked with you today! Like a numpty I forgot to change my settings not making my job any easier and limiting my shot selection!

i dont quite know how i didnt see this shot when you posted it cause the detail in it is fantastic, the whole thing just looks amazing. why do you think sooc is shit? most of my pics are sooc & to be fair i think they look better sometimes than when ive ruined them by pressing too many buttons changing stuff. your shots are amazing & you should stop giving yourself such a hard time. oh & if it makes you feel any better im the only girl in my family, i have 6 brothers & a fella & a son, so im usually watching fast & furious or spiderman lol
