We had the most amazing sunset this evening...
I watched it from a distance from my office. I felt like a kid on restriction in my room with my face squished against the window watching my friends play outside!
This is a shot from this weekend. I took a little hike through Mission Trails and found this little bird house! I'm on the path of excepting the early night! I think its time to start practicing night photography!
Wow, awesome!! The moving clouds give this such a great perspective, and I love the rustic tones of the reeds and fence and the gorgeous saturated blue of the sky. Awesome scene all around!
Love the motion in the clouds.
I know the feeling of missing the shot. The most wonderful misty fog was scattered over the Mir mar fields this morning as I was rushing by.
Beautiful shot, love the sky :)
I've lost count of the number of shots where I could kick myself for not being able to get my camera out because of being stuck in the office or the car :)
I looked back to last year's shots to see how I compensated. My daughter was home for Thanksgiving last year and the Christmas tree got put up that weekend. She didn't come home this year and so there's no tree up yet. No go to shots on the tree. Winter light just sucks when you work.
Lovely realestate :) Wonderful sky!
Low light photography for me too. And what's even worse - often indoors... Not completely accepted the reality yet though
I know what you mean Jerry. There have been a few really good sunsets here in Dallas lately but I don't get off in time to get a shot of them Tonight was especially great but no luck. Love you shot. the sky is great and I love your processing.
@espyetta Thank you, Marybeth! I used a wide angle lens on this shot. If you tilt the lens up when you shoot on a cloudy day the lens distortion gives that cool effect on the clouds. Same thing if you want that effect on sand or rocks to lead the eye into the shot, except you would tilt the lens downward. :)
I love this - I'm curious how you took or processed it. I fav'd for sure. Love the colors, the fence, the birdhouse and the feeling like I'm going by fast. Wonderful!
this is really lovely. when you say tilt the camera up when you take it do you mean the angle of the camera pointing up from a low pov or actually moving it during shot? i see your shutter speed was 1/125, thats quite fast so suggests to me wouldn't capture actual camera movement?? so you must mean the pov? very curious :)
