Gypsy toast -may have another name in England but in N I it is bread dipped in egg/milk and fried then sprinkled with sugar when hot.

@ceilidh thanks Margaret, in Dutch it is 'wentelteefjes', and we used to love them at home when we were kids. I should actually make them again, now for my own children :-)
