I had to work super hard to get this shot... it was so windy and this sunflower is taller than me... yeah, not hard... I'm 5'2"... so I had to stand on the edges of two planter boxes which were about 60cm apart and balance, contend with the wind blowing this sunflower around and wait for lulls ... oh and try to track the bee too. Phew!
Today would've been my Nanna's 95th birthday. She passed away at the wonderful age of 89, however, with dementia, so it was time. She was a wonderful lady. Kind and compassionate and so understanding.
Happy birthday Nana, sure she is keeping tabs on you still. That is fantastic dof under less than ideal circumstances. great job. love how the background goes all abstract
I am seriously thinking about buying a Canon 100 mm USM IS lens and I was reading the discussions on here about whether you need IS or not. That led me to this pic you'd posted. This is TO DIE FOR quality! and beautifully composed/ processed. I love it! fav
