Victorian Street, E1 by padlock

Victorian Street, E1

Had a great day in London with my best friend and his wife. We wandered around Spitalfields, Brick Lane, food courts and beer. At the end of Brick Lane we wandered into the estate to find that they were shooting the film Suffragette. One of the technical team was very helpful after seeing the Canon and chatting about its merits. He led us to a part of the set where we could watch them filming as long as we kept as quiet as mice. Got this shot at the end just after they shouted they had finished and I was amazed how they had transformed the street.
Victorian indeed - how fortunate you were to be able to go and witness this. Great image.

How interesting - that is such a great find! Very envious - I love finding film sets!! In Cardiff we often come across Dr Who and Sherlock, but you still have to be lucky!

Oh wow - this is so cool!! What a find. And then it's fun going to watch the films. I spent ages in Cambridge trying to catch them filming the film about Steven Hawking (nothing to do with Eddie Redmayne :0)) but I didn't manage to get close enough. When I was a student I was forever (well twice!) tutting about being stopped from cycling to the lab by film shoots - now if 365 had existed....
