Spent a pleasant morning at St Albans, talking to the flower arrangers and thought this shot with the light was very appropriate.
Have seriously thought about what to do about 365, to do you all justice takes so long and I feel that I cant not comment o what you do. So to make things a little easier on myself I have decided that I will try and post a shot a week so I don't loose touch I hope with all the great people I have actually met and followed on this great site. That also means that I will not at least for the moment be arranging any more London meets, think after the last one which I didn't think went well time for a rest. If anyone wants to take up the arranging of these meets I will happily give advice on what to do.
This is wonderful. I'm not sure I'm up to climbing an open stairway, however. I do not like heights and I'd be able to look down through these. Hey, we'll miss you on a daily basis. Sorry to hear you've decided to "slow down" with 365, but I can surely understand. It's great fun, but it is also time consuming. (Or it surely is for me -- but I love it!)
After reading Phil's post the other day, and now yours, I fully understand why you feel the need to reduce your commitment to 365. I'm going to see this year out to the end, then will probably cut down next year. I might organise one or two meets if my workload permits it - very busy at the moment, though. Nice shot, by the way!
Oh Padlock I'm so sorry that you are not going to be arranging any more London Meet UPs as I've really enjoyed them. Not sure why you think the last one was not successful - to me it was great and I really enjoyed walking along chatting to you and everyone else. I know what you mean though about trying to keep up with everyone's pics - I'm finding it a struggle too! I never seem to find it difficult to post shots just having time to comment. This is a lovely shot with the light and the title is great. Do keep in touch
It is so very time consuming. Thank you so much for all your encouragement and kindness. I look for your posts and am selfishly sorry to hear you'll be backing off. You are such a special person.
This shot is really great - love the pov. 365 is supposed to be fun, not such a huge commitment that it puts you off - we miss your daily photos, but will look forward to one each week.
@padlock - I've been thinking the same thing lately haven't commented much on other peoples shots for ages now and have lots of gaps. I need time for other things too......especially work at the moment. I might do the same thing a shot each week seems like an easier commitment. x
@padlock project 52 sounds like a plan:) Like many here I really enjoyed the London meet ups, including the one you didn't think went well, so don't be so hard on yourself... picnicking in the rain was fun :)
I'm with you on the Project 52 Padlock, I've opened a new folder for it (we get more than I had ever used before) and the numbering will be out of synch but I can live with that. I can always overspill into another folder if I need to. (Sooo likely!!) This is a lovely shot, albeit a little wonky (!) but who is to say the stairway to heaven is the straight and narrow...?! =)
So does that mean no September meet for the tall ships?
I will look forward to seeing your weekly shot, it is meant to be enjoyable after all. :))
