Kingfisher basking in early light

Left early today to catch this Kingfisher my first of 2017. Bit ashamed really as I was speaking to a couple of people who said you couldn't walk on the path the other day for what they described as inconsiderate photographers. People chasing the Kingfisher for a better shot. Not fair really but they have seen fit to report it to the Park Rangers.
Great photo, looks like we both saw our first 2017 KF today, but yours is by far the better image :)

What a shame inconsiderate photographers are spoiling the riverside for other users, such a shame.

I expect its all the tripods that cause the trouble! Can you shoot so well without one?

Such a colorful little bird. Right now I have to be happy with little brown sparrows hanging out in my yard. Thanks for the fav on my 364 To Go camera shot. Much appreciate.
