I loved “A Spoonful of Color” by Livia. I could not get the spoon reflection shot out of my head from the moment I saw it! Today it has rained all day so I gave it a try! Here is my somewhat wackier version, “Dot Dot Dot”
Thanks Livia for encouraging people to try this in your post response.
@darsphotos Thank you! :) I used a large, new, stainless steel spoon, on a 12in x 12in paper. The lighting was two natural, sunlight lamps and my camera was on a tripod. I hope that helps. :)
@paintdipper Thank you so much for the explanation, I really appreciate it. Makes really good sense, now to try it. Love the paper that you used. Will have to see what I have to use.
@darsphotos I shot the spoon bowl facing towards me, the camera focus was straight on and up a little. Next I slowly moved the focus down until the handle disappears from view. I hope that makes sense. :)
Very effective and I love the patterns. I had planned on trying the Sparkling wine glass and computer wallpaper photo this weekend and now I must add shiny clean spoon to the list too. Thanks for sharing your inspiration
Fantastically well done. I think your lower pov in this shot makes this work as an abstract - not initially recognizable as spoon reflection (at least to me). Congratulations!
Thanks to each of you for looking and the wonderful comments! You made my day!
@janturnbull Thank you! :)
